Shahabuddin's Comments Letter to Director, NCPUL, 20 Oct., 2000

I have gone through the Recommendations and Resolution of the 3rd Conference of State Urdu Academies, held in Jaipur on 14-16 October, 2000. There is one serious omission about teaching. of Urdu to those whose Mother Tongue is Urdu at the secondary level as the First Language in the Three-Language Formula, with Hindi/Principal Language of the State as the compulsory Second Language. You may kindly consider it for future recommendation.

Shahabuddin's Comments On NCPUL's Perspective Plan

I feel that if it is to serve as the Perspective Plan for the Promotion of Urdu Language for, say, 2000- 2009, it needs to be rewritten and in four parts:

Part I: Present Status of Urdu in the country in 2000 AD

Part II: Target for the year 2009 A.D.

Part III: Policy Corrections Required

Part IV: Executive Responsibility assigned to NCPUL and other Central and State Agencies in this regard and the Financial Outlays for various Schemes,  Central, Centrally sponsored and State.

That the Perspective Plan for Urdu should not be totally identified with the Working Plan of the NCPUL is my humble request.
