"The BMMCC endorses the programme adopted by the AIMPLB for the observance of the 8th anniversary of the Demolition on 6 December, 2000, i.e.
i) Speech on Babari Masjid Question in all mosques by the Imams before the formal Khutba on Friday, 1st December, 2000 and Dua for its restoration at the end of the Namaz-e-Juma.
ii) Presentation of Memorandum addressed to the President by a representative group including all. secular parties to the DM or the Tehsildar at all Zila/ Tehsil headquarters on 6 December. 2000, preceded by a public meeting, if possible at a suitable place.
iii) Organisation of Public Meetings or Seminars on Babari Masjid Question in importance places to which intellectuals and opinion-makers should be invited. The Memorandum/Resolution should include the following points: -
1. Express concern and apprehension of all secular forces, and particularly of the Mur slim community, at the repeated statements of the JSS-VHP and other members of the Sangh Parivar to start construction of the proposed Ram Janambhoomi Mandir on the disputed site, in defiance of the law, on a date of their choice, without waiting for the final judicial verdict on the question of title, which constitute a serious threats to public order a s well as a contempt of the Supreme Court and a de finance of the Constitution.
2. Demand that the Central Government break its silence and administer public warning to the VHP and take all possible action to safeguard the security of the acquired area against any organised assault as well as give public assurance on the floor of the Parliament during the Winter session that no construction shall be permitted anywhere in the security zone before the judgment in the title suit and the subsequent Order of law Supreme Court.
3. Demand that the Government move the Allahabad High Court for day-to-day hearing of the title suit by the Special Bench.
4. Dear and that no repair or renovation of the temporary make-shift structure on the disputed site shall be undertaken by the Government without appropriate order of the Supreme Court.
5. Appeal to the secular forces to join hands in the defence of the Constitution and the Rule of Law and support the above demands.
The BMMCC proposes to hold a National Seminar in New Delhi on 6 December, 2000 to commemorate the occasion.
