BJP President Laxman On the Babari Masjid Question

The BJP has clarified its stand that it would abide by the decision of the Supreme Court on the issue. I agree that the BJP has changed its outlook on the controversy. First, the party wanted the issue to be resolved through a dialogue, then preferred a legislation to resolve it. It was really unfortunate the way the disputed structure was demolished in 1992. Now all concerned should wait for the court judgement.

When pointed out that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad had reiterated its resolve to construct a temple there, It will create some problem ... The BJP stand on the issue is very clear that it would wait for the judgement. (Source: The Pioneer, 24 October, 2000)
