The Corporation has undertaken to provide training programmes in the field of Traditional and Technical occupation and entrepreneurship to develop professional skill leading to self-employment with special emphasis on women in leather footwear, fashion designing, doll making, jute weaving, electrical, plumbing and sanitary practice.
The Corporation plans to spend Rs.19.98 lakhs under Training Programme for the year 2000-2001 and extend it, apart from the above to basic computer training, interior decoration, kanatha stitching and embroidery, carpentry, tailoring, electric gadget repair, two and three-wheeler repair.
