"The decision start the reconstruction work of Ram Janmabhoomi temple will be taken after the stones for pranprastistha are ready. For that we need about 60,000 c.f. stone and it will take at least two more years. The day the saints take a decision about the construction work, no power in the world will be ablc to stop them".
"The issue of Ayodhya is equally important even today as it was in the beginning and it will be equally important until a grand temple is reconstructed at the Janmabhoomi site."
History has witnessed that a decision, taken by the saints cannot go away.
... In the context of the Ayodhya movement .. the saints took the decision of ram Janaki Rathyatra in 1984 to awaken the Hindu society to the urgency of liberating Ram Janmabhoomi. "We have seen that the Ram Janaki Rathyatra was successfully taken all over the country. Then, the saints in 1985 took the decision to get the locks at Ram Janmabhoomi opened. The saints had warned of dire consequences if the lock was not opened by March 8, 1986.
But, thanks to the efforts of the saints, the lock was opened on February 2, 1986. Similarly the shilanyas was successfully completed as per the decision of the saints".
Later, he said, the saints under the leadership of ... Shankaracharya Vasudevananda Saraswati, decided on kar seva to be undertaken on October 30 and November2, 1990. Despite so many obstacles created by the then State Government ... six lakh people left their homes for the kar seva and over 60,000 entered Ayodhya ... They not only successfully performed kar seva but also hoisted saffron flags atop the domes of the disputed structure. This incident infused a new strength in the Hindu society. After that the saints decided to perform a sarvadeva anushthan from July 9, 1992 at Ayodhya ...
. At last over 5000 saints assembled in Delhi and decided to perform karseva on December 6, 1992. We have seen that the agitated karsevaks out of frustration at the dilatory tactics demolished the disputed structure within five hours and within 36 hours they recreated a new temple at the site. By and large, history has witnessed that what the saints resolve does come off. (Source: The Organiser, 6 December, 1998)
