It is with deep sadness and profound shock that Muslims in North America and the world, view the... violation of their places of worship in India...and the Hindu-siege of the ancient Babari Mosque.
Let it be clear to all that for...one billion Muslims of the world, the status of the Babari Mosque and all Muslim places of worship in India is non-negotiable...
The violent assault on Muslims and their places of worship is not an issue of concern for Indian Muslims alone, but a major affront to the global Muslim community.
Clearly, it is the responsibility of the Indian government to safeguard the life, property and the places of worship of all its citizens. Therefore, in representation of Muslims across North America, the Islamic Society of North America appeals to the Government of India to stop the ongoing cycle of violence, discrimination and brutality against Muslims and their institutions, particularly the vital Babari Mosque.
