The Pioneer has reported that as Minister of Wakfs you gave directions to the Punjab Wakf Board to lease Wakf properties at low rents to particular parties.

I hope the report is not true because if it is such a direction is clearly in excess of the statutory role of the Minister of Wakfs who should not interfere in the administration of the Wakf Board or management of the Wakf properties but only ensure that the Board is acting in the best interest of the Wakf.

I would be grateful for a line in reply.
