I am indeed shocked by the uncivilised and abusive language used by Mr. Sabir regarding Ram Chandraji and Krishnaji and our common motherland and against the leaders of the Sangh Parivar and the Government.
I do not understand his motive but I would like to assure you that Mr. Sabir does not represent the Muslim community in any sense of the term. The use of such a language has nothing to do with Islam, the religion he professes. The Quran expressly prohibits offensive language against the gods of other religions.
I do not at all agree with your interpretation of the events leading to the deliberate demolition of the Babari Masjid or with your justification of this act of medieval vandalism in the twentieth century but whatever be our differences, that will not justify the use of such language.
I have personally never shown the slightest disrespect towards Ram Chandraji in my speeches or statements or towards Krishnaji.
I apologise to you on behalf of the Muslim community for Mr. Sabir Khalid's offensive language which must have hurt your feelings and of any civilised person, Hindu or non-Hindu who reads item.
