As you know in the context of the overall breakdown of law and order in Bihar, the Muslim community finds itself a particular target of murder and plunder. Over the last few months, unfortunately there have been quite a few cases of rape of Muslim women in Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Khagaria, Nawadah, Phulwari Sharif and now Gaya

I feel that the Imarat-e-Sharia should set up a Legal Cell to preserve such case in which specially women, have been targetted and if the local machinery fails, to raise the matter before the National Commission for Minorities and the National Human Rights Commission.

The latest cases of Firoza in Phulwari Sharif and of Zaibun Nisa and Khairnu Nisa in Gaya deserve immediate attention.
