Indeed the Constitution guaranteed religious, cultural and linguistic rights of Muslims as of other religious minorities. Therefore, the Muslim Indians are under no moral obligation or legal pressure to merge themselves with the Hindu community

INDIA is a multi-religious, multi-caste, multi-lingual, multi-racial and multi-cultural state and will remain so even if the Muslims are not here. But multiplicity does not imply fragmentation or partition if all groups equitably share shower and participate in managing the State.

Like all other social groups, Muslims must also come to terms with the modern age. Call it reform, if you like. But that shall also be within the framework of the Shariat.
