The Commission has received a representation against recent Police firing in Mathura in which 3 lives have been lost. The police firing is alleged to be excessive due to which a judicial enquiry bas been demanded. It is requested that full facts of the case alongwith the comments of the State Government may kindly be furnished to this Commission as early as possible.

It is understood that the minority community in Mathura was aggrieved against construction on a disputed Qabristan land. Your report should, therefore, specifically indicate the action taken by you to maintain the status quo on the disputed land and protection of the Qabristan.
