The pomp and splendour was all there ... The wedding was typically Assamese, with the only aberration being that the bride and groom were not human beings but Wts ... The "wedding" was performed in Silpukhur, what, was attended by a host of people from the wighbourhood ... According to Assamese folklore, winging marriage of frogs is one way of pleasing rain and Varuna and there are numerous instances of such weddings in the past when there was a dry spell.
