Kashmiris universally deplore the extremist hijacking and terrorism inflicted on innocent civilians irrespective of their purported political objective of liberating Kashmir. There is no room for debate over hijacking. It is criminal. It is brutal It is sinful. And it is an evjl that begets only more evil. No political motivation justifies such terrorism against innocent civilians. The sole beneficiaries are those who prefer violence to peace and anarchy to civilization.

... The APHC strongly condemns the hijacking of the Indian Airlines as a means to achieve their goal. Kashmiris prefer continued suffering at the hands of 700,000 Indian military and paramilitary forces and deferral of self-determination than corruption of their humanitarian souls in furtherance of political aims. Kashmiri culture is neither vengeful nor retributive. It teaches sympathy and compassion for all humans of whatever station, religion, ethnicity or ideological persuasion. Kashmiris are deeply empathetic towards the victims of terrorism and other manifestations of human rights abuses because they daily experience the horrors themselves.
