Secularism in operation means, "first, separation of religion from the political, economic, social and cultural aspects of life, religion being treated as a personal matter; second, dissociation of the state from religion; third, full freedom to all religions and tolerance of all religions; and fourth, equal opportunities for followers of all religions, and no discrimination or partiality on the grounds of religion".
