Resolution on UP Bill

1. That grand rally of Indian Muslims rejects UP. Regulation or Public Religious Buildings and Places Bill 2000 in totality. This bill is a direct attack on religious freedom granted by the Constitution. This rally appeals the President of India not to give his assent to this Bill which is made against the basic spirit and secular character of the Constitution and dismiss the Ram Parkash Gupta Government of UP.

This rally demands the immediate abolition of similar laws operative in the States of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and West Bengal. This rally appeals Indian Muslims to continue their' peaceful struggle untidily against this black bill until it is withdrawn.

2. This rally condemns the conspiracy to hurt the secular character of the Constitution of India in the disguise of its revision and warns Government that any attempt to enforce the hidden agenda of RSS will not be tolerated.

3. This rally of Indian Muslims considers the Kashmir an integral part of India and demands Government of India to talk with Kashmiri leaders directly for internal autonomy within the framework of the Constitution of India and appeals Kashmiri Muslims to ensure the respectable return and safety of non-Muslim minority of the Valley: This rally expresses its solidarity with all those Kashmiri brethrens who are facing pathetic condition between Government agencies and extremists.

4. This rally demands the permission to perform five-time prayers (Namaz) in all mosques which are under the Archives department.

5. This rally of Indian Muslims condemns the Russian barbarity on the innocent Muslims in Chechenya and demands for the joint action of United Nations and world community against Russia: This rally-expresses its concern over the continued sanctions on Iraq and demands United Nations to stop the violation of human rights and lift the sanctions.

6. We want to announce, through this rally, that we would crush all vested interest, opportunists and anti-Islam powers in the political system of our country and we will be one to decide ourselves for our future and fortune because the Muslims have reached to the extent that the existence of their Milli (religious) identity has come in danger due to the opportunism of so-called secular politicians and ill-designs of fascist and communal elements.

7. We demand that cases against a large number of innocent people under TADA should be withdrawn without any further delay.
