The Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) set up in October 1990 as a registered Public Charitable Trust. The office complex of the IRF has a Video Cassette Library, a Publications Department, a Video/Cable/ Satellite Television Production Studio, an Audio Video Recording Department, a Multi-Purpose/Audio Visual/ Reading Room, a Computer Department, an Auditorium, a sales outlet (called Islamic dimensions), a Ladies Wing and a Children's Wing.
The Islamic Research Foundation has the objective of the proper presentation, dissemination, appreciation, understanding and clarification of the message of Islam and the removal of misconceptions about Islam -amongst Muslims and Non-Muslims. The IRF strives to convince the people above the overall excellence of Islam and its teachings and values through reason and logic. The IRF specially conveys the proper perspective as well as comparative excellence of Islam to many educated Muslim youth, who tend wrongly to be apologetic about Islam and its values.
The Video Cassette Library has over 3000 Video Cassette on Islam and Comparative Religion ... (more than 2500 in English, more than 500 in Urdu and a few in Arabic and French) which are available for free hire (for 2 days. against a refundable deposit). The titles available include Films, Interviews, Television Programmes, Documentaries and Lectures, Debates and Symposia of world renowned Islamic orators and scholars ... Similarly the IRF has a large collection of more than 6000 Audio Cassettes ...
The Publications Department has published/reprinted more than 50 English language publications on Islam and comparative religion authored by internationally acclaimed scholars ... These are distributed/posted absolutely free to anyone on request.
The Holy Qur'an with Arabic Text and English Translation and Commentary by Allama Abdullah Yusuf Ali, alongwith a complete set of IRF literature, is distributed absolutely free all over India by the IRF, to Universities, Schools, Colleges, Masjids, Madrasas, Islamic and Research Organisations and institutions as well as to interested individuals.
The Video/Cable/Satellite Television Production Studio handles the production of Video Films ... for distribution to Satellite T.V. Channels and Cable T.V. Networks.
