1. Positive efforts should be made to initiate and concretise affirmative actions, both by the Central and State Governments, including reservations in different spheres.

2... The relevant Article on reservations (should be amended) by replacing the words "socially and educationally backward classes" by "socially and economically backward classes". [What is vague is social backwardness and needs to be eliminated and replaced by economically - Editor].

3... The Muslim community (should) consciously venture into creating opportunities for increasing capabilities among the Muslim youth ...

4.An integrated plan of action should be initiated for greater participation of Muslims in the grassroot-level political for a ...

5.. Parliamentary and State Assembly Constituencies need to be (reviewed) before the delimitation of the Constituencies in 2001.

6. Muslim representation should be ensured in all statutory bodies both in the Centre and in the States, including the Election Commission.

7.Regional Muslim for a need to be activated in different States, in cooperation with other like-minded sections of the people (to) be coordinated at the national level as a viable political entity, for the benefit of the Muslim community

8. Steps (should) be taken to establish information-sharing networks of Muslim organisations (to cover) states and regions.
