Hindu Shrine Serviced by Muslims in Kashmir


 

Muslims selling flowers, milk and incense sticks to be offered to a goddess at a shrine here goaded their Hindu brethren to say special prayers for peace in the insurgency- battered Jammu and Kashmir (at) the shrine of Khir Bhawani, revered by the state's Hindus as the protector of Kashmir Valley ..

1000 Kashmiri Hindus ... came from Jammu to participate in an annual festival at the shrine, located about 25 km north of Srinagar.
