H.M. Advani's Assurance On Status-Quo at Disputed Site

The Supreme Court in its judgement dated 24.10.1994 in the case of Dr. M. Ismail Faruqui vs Union of India has appointed the Central Government, as statutory receiver, with responsibility to maintain the status-quo in the disputed area till the adjudication is made in the title suit for implementation of the final decision therein. I would assure you that, in compliance with the said judgement of the Supreme Court, the Central Government is taking all possible steps to maintain status-quo at the disputed site. Recently, this matter was also discussed at length in Parliament and the Prime Minister made it clear in his statement that the status-quo will be maintained at the disputed site.
