One architectural fragment of a lintel depicting sitting Adinatha image in the centre and flanked on either side with standing image of Tirthankars was found in the vicinity of Qutab archaeological area in 1965. On Dismantling and Restructuring of Temples
Dismantling and reconstruction of the monuments including temples are taken up only when other means of repair is not applicable.
The Archaeological Survey of India, in the past, has undertaken dismantling and resetting of (12) protected monuments, which were either in most dilapidated condition, beyond repairs, or were threatened by the construction of dams, etc in Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Uttar Pradesh). On Demolition in Jama Masjid Area
DDA has reported that as per the direction of the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, the encroachments from the area are to be removed.
There are about 150-200 encroachers on the site including some who squat on the footpath during the day time. ...
