The .recent Resolution of the Municipal Council of Ayodhya to prohibit burial in the town has caused concern and pain to the Muslims of Ayodhya. Already burial had been stopped in many graveyards. Also many graveyards encroached upon and for likely converted to other means, with the administration turning a blind eye.

The Resolution is nothing short of the implementation of the VHP plan to convert Ayodhya into an exclusively Hindu domain and to force out all non-Hindus from its boundary.

The ban militates against the Constitution.

We request you to instruct the Commissioner, Faizabad not to endorse the Resolution and the Municipal Council to reconsider the matter.
