The recent communal riots in various parts of the country are causing concern to all the right thinking people of the country. This is the outcome of the ‘hate Muslim campaign’ launched by the RSS, BJP, VHP ....

The role of law-enforcing agencies especially that of the PAC.... was highly partisan and deplorable....

We express our deep sense of anguish over the callous attitude of the government machinery.

"1. That the PAC be immediately withdrawn from all riot-affected areas and replaced by the CRPF, the BSF and the Army.

2. That the PAC should be disbanded and a composite Riot Control Force be constituted without any further delay. Muslims be given at least one third representation in it.

3. That the PAC personnel who have indulged in loot, arson and killing be prosecuted.

4. That the former D.M., Aligarh, Desh Deepak Verma be suspended and prosecuted for conniving (in) the brutal killing of men, women and children in Aligarh.

5. That BJP leaders K.K. Navman, Kalyan Singh and Uma Bharati be arrested and punished for engineering the recent communal bloodbath.

6. That a ban be imposed on RSS, Bajrang Dal and other militant organisations and the communal activities of BJP, VHP and Shiv Sena etc. be effectively curbed.

7. That the Asthi Kalash processions, the audio/video cassettes and inflammatory material (in print) spreading hatred against Muslims be immediately banned.

8. The national and international Human Rights Organisations such as PUCL, PUDR, Amnesty International and Human Rights Commission be allowed to investigate the communal carnage in India.

9. Full compensation be given by the Government for the loss of life and property to the victims."
