Gandhi was an even greater Hindu leader than the highly esteemed Chanakya. He is on record to have stated in the Young India that his "adoption of nationalism cannot be separated from his interest in Hinduism".
Even a great secularist Jawaharlal Nehru could not desist from openly admitting in Discovery of India that "Indian nationalism was dominated by Hindus and had a Hinduised look". In fact, all the nationalist Hindu leaders pursued the policy of "bhaid (deception) throughout the freedom struggle more particularly during the Khilafat Movement and the emotional and simple Muslim leaders, like Mohammed Ali Johar and Maulana Azad could not understand their real intent.
Now after hundred years of pursuance of policy of 'bhaid', the time for the next motto 'dand' (punishment) has arrived which is clear from the demolition of Babari Mosque and the subsequent communal killings.
