'We, the undersigned freedom fighters, express our deep concern over the ever expanding flame of communal violence. Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar witness of triumph of communal forces very often masquerading as a national party. The diabolic and sinister conspiracy to spread the communal fire manifests itself in organising rapid and wide circulation of highly explosive video cassettes to inflame public emotion with the only purpose of motivating aggressive action, threatening the life and property of a particular community in the name of religion.

We earnestly draw the attention of the leaders of political parties both at the Centre and the States to take the necessary drastic legal and political action to stem the tide of the massive advance of the destabilising forces to be followed up by corresponding mass action.'
