Scholarship Programme
WAMY Scholarship Program is for needy and meritorious students of higher students (M.A./M.Sc./ Ph.D.) as a loan payable after their graduation in ratio of 15% of their monthly income.
Information required:
1) Name of last qualification and percentage of marks obtained (attested);
2) Acceptance letter from the university mentioning the date of the commencement and the duration of the courses
3) Photocopy of passport/residence permit/identity card;
4) Photocopy of last year/semester attested marks- sheet;
5) Name and address of the nearest Islamic organization whether in your native country or the place of your study mentioning name of its president.
6) Names and address of three well-known Islamic personalities who can recommend;
7) Names and address of 2 persons prepared to undertake guarantee to repay the amount after your graduation or discontinuation of your study,
8) Character certificate from the last institution you attended;
9) Personal bio-data;
10) An affidavit form is prescribed which can be obtained from:

The application is submitted to the WAMY Scholarship Program Committee in the month of May/ October every year for appropriate action.

Scholarship Programme, 1996-97
The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is pleased to announce 100 Scholarships for students from the Muslim community of INDIA for a study in a recognized university/college in their own country during 1996-97.
The scholarship is for the meritorious but financially needy students in the first year of the professional degree course in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Unani and Ayurvedic, Engineering including Computer and Communication Engineering and of Agriculture (including Fisheries, Forestry and Food Technology). The Scholarship is offered as an interest free loan to be refunded in installments by the students to anybody or organization in the country named by the IDB after the students completes his/her education and starts employment.
The scholarship covers monthly stipend for 12 months plus three-month equivalents for clothing and books plus the tuition and other official expenses and the cost of treatment in government or university hospitals. Last date for receipt of application is 1 October, 1996.
