The story centres on two poor farming brothers, Natha (Omkar Das Manikpuri) and Budhia (Raghubir Yadav), in the small village of Peepli, who are about to lose their land due to outstanding government debt. A village politician suggests they commit suicide, so the family (the mother, Natha’s wife and his two kids) can pay the debt with the 100,000 rupees compensation…
